Tradesmen International has an out of town order and are needing 50+ journeymen instrument fitters for Sabine Pass, LA ASAP. The details are listed below:
-Sabine Pass, LA
-4 10’s and 2 8’s (The client may ask the field employee to work a 12 hour shift)
-$27.00 per hour for NCCER Plus
-$26.00 per hour for non-NCCER Instrument Fitters
-$75.00 per diem on days worked
-Drug Test and Physical will be completed in Port Arthur, TX
Instrument Fitter job description:
Assemble and install precise instruments that measure, indicate, transmit, record and control.
Experienced instrument fitters may work with scientists to design, manufacture or modify laboratory equipment.
Day to day tasks include fitting and assembling instrument parts, checking instruments for accuracy and calibrating to specifications, installing industrial instruments and equipment, dismantling and re-assembling delicate mechanisms or electronic circuits, overhauling instrument systems, checking performance using testing and measuring instruments, setting up computers and control equipment, interfacing computers to control systems. Pipefitters are NOT instrument fitters.

4 years of experience working as an Instrument Fitter
Experience in assembling instrument parts, checking instruments for accuracy and calibrating to specifications, installing industrial instruments and equipment, dismantling and re-assembling delicate mechanisms or electronic circuits,
Ability to understand schematic diagrams and read blue prints
NCCER certification is a plus, but not a must
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
