Tradesmen is currently looking for NCCER instrument fitter certified journeymen for a job in Sabine Pass LA which will run for at least 6 months. 4 10 hour shifts and 2 8 hour shift a week, 50+hours a week. NCCER Journeyman will make $26/hr, NCCER+ Journeyman will make $27/hr. You will also be paid $75 a day in per diem. There will also be quarterly site performance and safety bonuses. Instrument Fitter job description:

  • Assemble and install precise instruments that measure, indicate, transmit, record and control.

  • Experienced instrument fitters may work with scientists to design, manufacture or modify laboratory equipment.

  • Day to day tasks include fitting and assembling instrument parts, checking instruments for accuracy and calibrating to specifications, installing industrial instruments and equipment, dismantling and re-assembling delicate mechanisms or electronic circuits, overhauling instrument systems, checking performance using testing and measuring instruments, setting up computers and control equipment, interfacing computers to control systems.
